I found this little box at the antique fair and knew exactly what I needed to do with it. It's just the right size for a pocket, a tangible reminder to keep going when times are tough, like some kindly words from a good friend that you can carry around with you. The quote is by C.S. Lewis.

Another little gem Christine, I love the idea of putting this in your pocket to gaze at when you need to. You always come up with such wonderful ideas. Beautiful stitching as always x
so beautiful and ... well ... gentle
I love the idea of a box in which you can keep your courage, a talisman to help you
What a perfect piece for that wee box. So beautifully done!
A really beautiful box again. Such a lovely idea. I wonder, do you stitch the embroidered piece in (with difficulty!) Or do you use a tiny bit of glue?
big words, in such a small container- a poem is coming, lovely work as always!!
Thanks all for your comments - it's always lovely to hear from you.
(The embroidered fabric is glued into the box Andy Lloyd Williams...)
Many thanks. Andy

I love this quote so much. I've read the book it's in and it has always spoke to me. You do beautiful and meaningful work. Thank you.
Do you mind if I make one similar as a gift as encouragement for a dear friend? It is a perfect gift for her...
