Reminders

I made these little fabric tokens for myself several years ago now. They were a source of comfort at a difficult time. The one in the middle is made from a tiny vintage collar and the other two are epaulettes from an old shirt, which of course, being me, I couldn't throw away. Words are very powerful, they can hurt, they can comfort and inspire and remind you of things that are important. Lots of people collect words, they may keep a notebook of phrases or quotes that mean something to them or nowadays most people will have a Pinterest board full of inspiring words. I like to stitch words that are important to me.

Never I have seen something so small but beautiful, Christine. Perhaps I should change from card making to little stitched words instead?

I can exhale...

Right now, when nothing, and I mean

NOTHING

excites me in the world of hand made, I flash onto your page from Facebook and all is again made bright and new.

Thank you.
