Through the sea green door.....

Do you remember I told you I was involved in an exciting collaborative project with other textile artists called The Shirt Collar Project? Well now is your chance to see the results....the completed collars from all ten artists, as well as other pieces of work by them, will be on show behind this lovely door at The Shell House Gallery in Ledbury.  Go to the A Group Gathering blog for all of the details.....Hope to see you there x

'nature bunting' and a little bit about me...

I thought I'd share with you this 'nature bunting' I made in preparation for my workshop on 10th May (see my previous post for details). I'm working on some 'botanical bunting' now....there are still few place available on my workshop if you would like to come....

You might like to pop over to a lovely blog called One Lucky Day, where Paula has featured my work and you can read a little interview with me.

The Shirt Collar Project

This is just a little glimpse of my completed collar for The Shirt Collar Project - a collaboration involving ten British female textile artists and the original idea of my pal, the lovely Kathleen of Murgatroyd and Bean fame. We were each given a vintage shirt collar and given free reign to re-create it. You can read more about the project at the A Group Gathering page and see glimpses of the other artist's work. I'm excited to see the final collars in all their glory and the different ways the artists have responded to them........

In bloom

Here's another little stitched sample I've made for inspiration at my next workshop...it's stitched onto the back of a tatty little piece of quilt which I've tea dyed - it's satisfying  to make something unloved and discarded bloom again.....
